Medigap, also know as Medicare Supplement, is a type of private insurance policy that works in conjunction with Original Medicare. Here are some reasons why you may want to consider a Medigap policy.
- Medicare does not cover 100% of all health care bills
- Medicare has deductibles and co-insurance for some services
- A Medigap policy will cover some if not all of the Medicare deductibles and co-insurance for Medicare approved services
